Concerning companies that have just started during the current year ...
Nevada Revised Statute 80.190 states, in part ... "each foreign corporation doing business [or qualified to do business] in this state shall, ... publish a statement of its last calendar year's business ..."
The Statute does not exclude companies that have "just started" in Nevada or companies that were "not in existence" in Nevada during the previous year. - In other words, all foreign corporations must publish an Annual Statement during the current year for the previous year even though they were not in existence in Nevada during the previous year.
It should be noted that most companies have been in existence for numerous years in their "home" states before registering to conduct business in Nevada.
If a corporation is in existence in Nevada during any given calendar year, it must publish an Annual Statement for the previous calendar year regardless of whether or not it was in existence in Nevada during the previous calendar year.
Note! .... Even though the law requires that foreign entities that are registered to conduct business in Nevada publish an Annual Statement for the previous calendar year, - to the best of our knowledge, no company has ever been fined or penalized for not publishing during their first year of existence in Nevada.
